Mission Complete
Last November I set out on a mission. It was a mission brought on by 2 totally different elements.
The first element was a job site inspection I went on when I was running the installation department at my old store. I was out in the boondocks inspecting a carpet installation in a basement. While my installers were laying down the tack strip, I was just standing there looking around the basement. That’s when my attention was drawn to a shelf. On said shelf, was all 10 seasons of Stargate SG-1 and all the SG-1 movies on DVD. I was in awe since I had never witnessed all 10 seasons side-by-side before. I thought it would be quite awesome to have that, being a huge Stargate fan myself.
That was part one.
Part two happened about a week or so later. I’m not going to get into details or specifics, but let’s just say I had some pretty intense email exchanges with legal representatives from MGM Studios over an ‘incident’. After that ‘incident’, I decided it was time to make my own Stargate shelf.
I already owned season one from when it came out originally. That night, I went out to Wal-Mart and started buying the seasons when they were on sale. Last night, I picked up the last season I was missing. I now own all 10 seasons of Stargate SG-1, all SG-1 movies, and all 5 seasons of Stargate Atlantis. Not only am I a most happy geek, but my wife can stop rolling her eyes when I throw yet another season of Stargate in our shopping cart.
