Today has been a good day so far. Jess was kind enough to let me sleep in and catch up on some much needed rest. Granted, I did not anticipate sleeping in until 12:30pm, but sometimes that’ll happen.
We set out today to start getting the house ready for fall/winter. I started by doing some furnace maintenance. I cleaned out the air intake vent (we have forced hot air), sanded and painted the air intake grating, and changed the furnace filter. After the furnace was done, I finished caulking the outside of Jackson’s new windows. They are officially 100% done! While I did all of that, Jess replaced some damaged screens in our windows around the house, and got her planters ready for the winter. Tomorrow, we will hit the kitchen and bedroom with the cleaning stick, and this weekend, we’re putting the yard and porch to bed until the spring.
As for tonight, we are just relaxing around the house. I myself am having a few drinks (sweet tea vodka & iced tea) and doing some stuff on my laptop, while my wife is looking forward to doing nothing and watching some TV.
Tomorrow morning, we have another obstetrician appointment. Hopefully we’ll get some good in the form of she’s almost ready to have the baby. One can only hope!
