I finally got the chance to sit down this afternoon and widen the ‘content’ column of this site. This would be the column that you are reading the finely crafted words. This was a change I have been thinking about making. With every new design I tend to widen this area a wee bit more. The problem is legacy displays. I fully realize that not everyone surfs the web on a 24″ monitor @ 1920×1200 resolution like I do. So I am now finally making the broad assumption that the lowest resolution someone will be reading this site is 1024×768. This assumption allowed me to increase the overall width of the site by 300 pixels. That may not seem like a lot, but it does allow for a bit more breathing room. Plus, I really realized that I needed more room after posting the video of Loki and I playing catch. The only size that would fit in the old configuration was a paltry 240 pixels in width. Hardly worth watching in my option.
Not exactly life changing stuff, but in life, sometimes it’s the little things.
