Yesterday was awesome, sad, stressful, and downright frustrating.
My day started out great when I first woke up, knowing that it was my last day not only in Installed Sales but the Wilkes-Barre store as well. Then I checked my bank account to make sure my paycheck at hit. My blood started to boil. I’m not going to go into specifics, but there were almost $220 in erroneous bank charges against my account. This really put me in a pissed of mood. Not only had those charges sent me into the red, but coupled with those charges were insufficient funds fees for each one. Now instead of having my full paycheck in there, if was down to more than half. Taking out the money I needed for bills, this left me with a whopping $100 for the next 2 weeks, which meant I was not unable to pick up the Easter gift I have been planning to get Jess.
Trying to put my mood aside, I made my way to work. Work for the most part wasn’t all that bad. I got to piss off 2 customers which made me happy, and I did little to nothing since it was my last day. Any major issues that came up I passed on to someone else with a smile saying the words, “I won’t be here to see this through.”
This was a sweet filling to the shit day I was having though. I was on the phone with my bank every hour on the hour trying to get my account straightened out. Long story short — they went from telling me it’s my fault and that they cannot do anything, to finally getting $150 out of the $220 back. I was at that point willing to eat the $70 since I knew they wouldn’t give anymore. Hell, I had to really sweet talk the account manager there to give me more than $74 after 4 hours of talking. All in all, I’d say this was a victory!
Feeling good, Jess and I went out for our Good Friday heathen meal — roast beef sandwiches at Arby’s. We then went up to the mall and I got her her surprise Easter present: Little Big Planet for the PS3. In fact, she’s playing it right now as I write this in the living room. She has been wanting this game for months, and with her being on Easter break until Wednesday, I thought this was the perfect time to get it for her.
It was a day that started good, got really shitty, and then ending on a really good note. That’s the way I like ‘em!
