Sorry for not posting for a few days, but i’ve had some stuff I’ve had to deal with.

Might as well just get it out there….

On Tuesday, my grandfather died. Even though he hasn’t been well for some time, it still comes as quite a shock when it happens. Needless to say, I haven’t been at work for a few days, nor have I really talked to anyone. I’m not ignoring you, just dealing and making family-like plans.

The viewing is tonight, which should be rough. Usually when something like this happens, I’m fine with everything until the viewing. Once you get there and you see everything, it kind of makes it all real. Thank God Jess is going to be there with me tonight and tomorrow for the funeral.

I’ll still mostly be unavailable until Sunday, but feel free to call my cell if you need me.

I picked out the tuxes for my wedding on Saturday. Here is a pic of what they look like.

I know it’s hard to see some of the detailing in the jacket, so here is a close up image of the jackey. Just ignore the tie, we decided to go with the crevat.

Well, I promised everyone a highlight of my 2005. So, without further ado, here it is:

01/01/05 – Jess and I celebrate our first New Year’s together.

01/27/05 – Jess takes me to The Corning Museum of Glass as part of my Christmas present. We have a wonderful time, we get to blow some glass, and stay at a nice, but creepy bed & breakfast.

02/03/05 – iocomputers.net is registered. Our little business that was formed in aisle 18 of Lowe’s is starting to finally take shape.

02/14/05 – Our first Valentine’s Day together. I screwed up on the gift thing, but my heart was in the right place.

02/20/05 – Jess’s senior recital. This is the first time I see her perform as a soloist. I then realize that I have no musical talent at all.

03/09/05 – Lola enters our life. Things haven’t been the same since.

03/18/05 – Started using iTunes in place of Winamp. I haven’t looked back since.

04/02/05 – JP and I finally get to meet one of our idols – Kevin Smith. At the reisk of alienating our girlfriends, we drive out to Red Bank, New Jersey, hear him speak for 7+ hours, and then wait in line for another 2 to meet him personally. Even though we got no sleep, got soaked to the bone, got lost, and were up for over 24 hours, it was so totally worth it!

04/14/05 – i/o Computers gets it’s first paying customer. We’re officially in business!

05/07/05 – Jess finally graduates from Kutztown University, and we spend our last night in her dorm room on a stupid blow up bed. The peasants rejoice.

05/10/05 – Jess officially moves in. The peasants rejoice yet again.

05/27/05 – Jess buys me Guild Wars. She regrets it everyday since.

05/31/05 – We get a grey kitten named Gandalf. This story has sort of a sad ending, but it just wouldn’t be right not to mention our little piglet.

06/15/05 – After months of waiting, we see Batman Begins in IMAX. I still get giddy just thinking about it!

06/25/05 – In a chance encounter, we run into a book fair downtown at the local library. We end up leaving with about 30 books for the amazing price of $5.

06/26/05 – I switch from using Buzznet for my moblog to Textamerica.

07/06/05 – The roof starts leaking like a son of a motherless goat. Things just get worse from here.

07/08/05 – To Jess’s amazement, we celebrate our 1 year anniversary.

08/03/05 – After over a year in limbo, twev1701.com is once again in my possession, hopefully, never to be taken away again!

08/21/05 – We return from what could be called the camping trip from hell, and end up buying another cat on the way home. We name her Marmalade.

09/05/05 – Jess starts to paint the kitchen, once again proving me wrong that painted paneling looks like hell. NOTE: Never date someone smarter then you!!

09/13/05 – Got my first story published on /. About i/o Computers. Our site traffic goes through the roof and we start getting calls to do work in Los Angeles and for IBM.

09/24/05 – JP and Sara get married. Had a totally kick ass time and got totally drunk. If I remember correctly, that’s exactly what the best man is supposed to do!

09/28/05 – We start having a new roof put on. The whole job is estimated to take about a week or so.

10/08/05 – Jess throws me a pretty kick ass birthday party. All have a great time.

10/28/05 – Jess and I pick out an engagement ring.

11/10/05 – I secretly get the ring and propose to Jess. After the shock of seeing her ring wears off, she happily says “yes”. The peasants REALLY rejoice this time!

11/13/05 – After every natural disaster you can possibly imagine, our roof is finally finished.

12/5/05 – We set a wedding date of October 21, 2006.

12/24/05 – After years of begging, I finally get my very own iPod for Christmas! In addition, thanks to Jess and our families, I have one of the best Christmases I can remember.

12/31/05 – Jess and I celebrate another great year together, and look forward to 2006 together!
