Gandalf

Well….it happened again.

We have been talking about the prospect of getting another cat now for sometime. We both agreeded we would not do it until Lola was completely comfortable in the house and its surroundings. That time was quickly approaching.

I told Jess that I would like to get a grey kitten this time and name it Gandalf, after the very famous wizard of the same name.

So here we are tonight leaving Wal-Mart (hate the store) on our way to PetSmart to pick up some new plants for the aquarium. Jess asked if we could go to Pet Wonderland, the store where we got Lola. I told her that I’d forget about PetSmart and take her to a different pet store that she had never been to before, and that it was on the way to the fabric store she wanted to visit. Ditching PetSmart was no biggie since if we had gone to Pet Wonderland and Jess had fallen in love with another kitten, we would have been raped again by their outrageous prices.

As we got out of the car at Tropic Pet Center (our destination), in the back of my mind I felt pretty safe about going in there. In side I was really hoping that they might have a grey kitten for me to look at, but what are the odds of that happening??

Wouldn’t you know it….

We get there and they only have 3 kittens, all on sale, all with their first shots, and one of them is all grey with green eyes. Now, when I say grey, I means like the perfect shade of grey you could ask for. Even his little pads on the bottom of his feet are grey. I stood there and stared at him through the glass for quite a while before Jess urged me to ask to take a look at him. Well, being very afraid of what might happen I asked to see him. Needless to say, 15 minutes later we were walking out of there with a new kitten.

So without further ado….meet the latest addition to our family, Gandalf!

As of this moment, Gandalf and Lola aren’t very close. But then again, maybe hissing and growling are good things. Afterall, what Klingons due during their mating rituals would make this kind of behaviour look down right tame!

More updates to come!!

Guild Wars

EverQuest…my bane…my mistress.

No More!

Jess bought me Guild Wars tonight as a welcomed surprise. She felt bad because I have been working non-stop since she moved in and I haven’t even so much as touched a video game in months. I’ve been reading the reviews of Guild Wars and was really impressed with what I saw. It is an MMORPG with no monthly fee at all!! And best yet, it looked a hell of a lot better then EverQuest ever did!

I wanted this game. I needed this game.

In fact, about 2 or 3 weeks ago I found a copy while we were at Target and Jess had to practically tear it from my hands.

So tonight we were up the mall and I wanted to stop into EB to look at a game for the PS2 I had heard a lot about but could never find. After a few minutes of looking, Jess came up behind me and handed me a bag and said, “Here. Happy Anniversary!”
I looked at her a little puzzled since our 1 year anniversary isn’t until July. When I opened the bag and saw Guild Wars staring at me I was so happy and in a sense, so proud of her. She went and bought me a game I really wanted all because she felt bad because I don’t get a chance to sit down and play games anymore. She knew I really wanted this game and thought that playing it would make me happy.

While the game is really amazing (write-up coming as soon as I put a few more hours in), it’s nothing compared to Jess.

The game is fun, but you make me happy.

No Internet Sucks

We’ve been without internet access here for 2 days now. Yesterday before work, I had to reboot my computer and when I did, I could no longer sign onto my ISP. Well, I should clarify that. I could sign on and send packets just fine, but for some weird reason, I cannot receive them. So, right now I have resorted to the worst thing I can think of…using AOL as my temporary ISP until mine gets its shit together.

Please work soon!!!

On To Phase II

Sorry I haven’t been posting a lot lately…needless to say I have been busy as hell.

Well, as of Sunday night Jess is officially moved in. That is, unless she has a 4th house full of stuff that I know nothing about. So we now have everything from her storage space, mom’s house, and dorm all in my tiny little house. Now we are at the fun part where we try to figure out what is what. At last count I think we now have 4 can openers, too many serving spoons to count, about a million different glasses, 3 or 4 different complete sets of dishes (she keep bringing out more boxes!!) and for the first time ever, curtains on the windows.

Although I may bitch about the horrible sunburn I got at her graduation ceremony, and the fact that I had a dresser full of books fall ontop of me, all in all, I am really glad she is here. This was a 2 month+ and I can finally realx now knowing that I get to come home to her every night.

Life is good.
