Well, I just spent the better part of the afternoon working on thie site layout. I got rid of some of the old Matrix theme, and started adding on some of my own shit. I love ding this stuff, but I always seem to change my mind about half way through and then go in a completely different direction. I think it may be a conflict against my creative half and my other half with the short attention span.

This is by no means a final design. In fact, this whole thing is osrt of a BETA area for an eventually migration to Twev1701.com. I’d like to replace the existing site with something like this, so rather than bring that site down for a few weeks while I tinker, I have this site to experiment with.

Well, I think it might be time to go grab something to eat. Then maybe a little EverQuest. Mmmm….EverQuest.

I really did. In fact, I still do. Except when it snow like a motherfucker and keeps me from going out on my day off, but not enough the next day to keep me from going to work. Sometimes a guy just can’t catch a break.

For some weird reason I find myself always being tired when I come home from work the past few weeks. I know some people would call this normal, but I think this goes beyind that. Today for instance, I was waiting for web page to load (I’m on shitty dial-up), so I just sat back in my chair and waited. Next thing I know, I open my eyes and the screen saver is on both monitors. I’m like WTF? So, I move the mouse and happen to see the time. I had fallen asleep in my computer chair for almost an hour and a half. This is really starting to creep me out.

On a lighter note, I have started tinkering with the site and how it looks. I just added the nice little sidebar on the right for “What I’m Reading”. I haven’t hooked up the linakge yet, but I’ll do that once I get the rest of the additional sidebars I want up. Hopefully I’ll have one up for music and movies too. Although at the rate I watch movies it might be better to substitiute that with a games one. It’s not unheard of for me to watch 4 movies in one day.

That’s really about it. They said we’re done with the snow…that is until Friday. So hopefully I’ll have one day (tomorrow) where I won’t have to dig myself out every few hours. My goal right now is to do a little something each night on the site. I have the coming weekend off, but I never quite know where I’m going to end up. I would be nice to work on this quite a bit and move a step closer to haveing this take over my regular personal site, but we’ll have to see about that. I still haven’t fullt gotten the grasp of using CSS. Well, I’m heading off to bed. I’ve got work in 6 1/2 hours. Suck.

Well, after 4 installs, countless dirty words, and almost throwing a monitor clear across the room, Movable Type has been installed. Although the page is far from being formatted to its final form, I decide that it’s suitable right now for some postings.

Snow. That’s been the word of the day for the past, well, 2 days. Just when it stops long enough for you to start to dig your way out, it snows some more. Although this could be a good thing if it keeps up like this. Right now the roads are total 100% shit. And when I say shit, I mean like no plows have touched these guys since this afternoon. So, me having to be at work in but 7 short hours, there is a 50/50 chance of the roads being bad enough to allow me to call in and stay home. That would be nice. Granted, I just had 2 days off, but I’ll never argue over getting a third!

Unfortunately, that’s all I really have right now. Poor JP is still going through the nightmare that is his main system wipe/re-install. If you’re interested in his plight check him out over at http://www.l33tbox.com.

As for me right now, I think I’m going to lay down with issue #6 of 1602, and then go to bed. Here’s hoping for terrible roads in the morning!
